Susan and Veronica - Young Survival Coalition

Susan and I decided to partner with the Young Survival Coalition because we are passionate about helping young women with their fight against breast cancer.  The YSC encourages young women to become educated about the disease and become advocates for their own health.  Breast cancer hit home for me in January 2007 when I received a call from my 33 year old sister in law telling me that she had just been diagnosed with the disease.  It was then that I opened my eyes to breast cancer for the first time.  It was then that I became aware of the thousands of young women, women just like us, that were fighting for their lives.

Stephanie was fortunate to have found her lump early. However, her battle with cancer was still all consuming.  I did not witness the day to day struggle but I was able to spend some quality time with her after one of her surgeries. Her strength and determination to beat the disease was remarkable. I’m happy to say that Stephanie’s story ends well. Today, she lives a healthy, happy life with her husband and beautiful baby girl.

Our PINK RIBBON APRON is our heartfelt show of support for all of the breast cancer survivors and all those young women still in the daily struggle. We believe that Breast Cancer Awareness should be commemorated all year long.  We hope you or your loved one enjoy your new PINK RIBBON APRON and remind yourselves when you’re preparing your next meal that you too are part of the fight!
